Having read through reviews of this show, I will acknowledge the criticisms that some people have towards the shift in tone with the show about halfway through: some viewers complain about there suddenly being too much of a romantic focus in the second half. It's much more than simply a game of cat and mouse rather, our main characters quickly find themselves wrapped up in a story that is much greater than any of them could have possibly imagined. I have watched a fair number of anime, and I think that this particular title gets bonus points for having a strong driving force that keeps you engaged until the very last episode where everything gets nicely resolved. If the description is enough to get you to watch just the first episode, then my job is complete, since it will grab you by the neck and throw you headfirst into the story.
